Gamma is worth it if you need to put together a presentation or document with good design and don’t have the time (or patience) to fight a PowerPoint template from scratch. You describe the content — a topic, an outline, or already-written text — and it returns a complete presentation, with design, images and slide structure already handled.
The difference from a traditional slide generator is that the same content can be exported as a presentation, a long document or a webpage without rebuilding it from scratch, and it can keep being edited afterward with the same design logic applied automatically.

What to know before choosing
The most important fine print is the credit system: on the free plan, the initial 400 credits don’t refill monthly the way they do on paid plans, so in practice it runs out fast with regular use — it works more like an extended trial than a permanent free plan in the strict sense.
Worth it for anyone who puts together presentations or documents fairly often and doesn’t want to depend on a designer for them to look good. If your need is a one-off with a very specific format, it’s sometimes faster to start from an already-built template in another tool than to adjust what the AI gives you.
